It’s certainly shaping up to be a huge 2017-18 season for the Queensland Lightning Sprint Racing Association, with 14 Everyday Finance Solutions Club Championship rounds and a number of blue-ribbon and title events scheduled.
Celebrating their 2016-17 season at last Saturday night’s annual presentation dinner at the Chermside Bowls Club, a number of Queensland Lightning Sprint drivers and club members were recognised for their efforts throughout the season.
In what was the final 2016-17 season hit out, it was Keith Blatch who came out on top in last Saturday night’s final Everyday Finance Solutions Queensland Lightning Sprints Club Championship round at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway.
The 2017 Everyday Finance Solutions Australian Lightning Sprint Title last Saturday night at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway saw Lismore-based racer Kurt Wilson out-perform his rivals to successfully defend his crown.
It will be the battle of two states in the upcoming Everyday Finance Solutions Australian Lightning Sprint Title, set to be held at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway on Easter Saturday (April 15), with a stout line-up of drivers from throughout NSW and Queensland nominated for the prestigious event.
It was Wayne Iacono who came out on top in the recent Stockmans Civil & Plant supported Queensland Lightning Sprint Title at Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway, with lady luck smiling on the Toowoomba local during the closing stages of the feature race.
